This is the novel that won Steinbeck his Nobel prize. Its about emigration to the California farmlands. In real life, Steinbeck always had strong feelings about the farm workers. He was strong in his beliefs about a lot of things, even to the point of having some of his books banned. The book is in very good condition, just a little staining on the cover. The book has the misspelling of "what you go there" on page 270. In later printings it was changed to "what you got there". The binding is very good, I see no looseness. The cover is a facsimile of the original with a mylar covering. There were only 50,000 books printed in the first printing. I am pleased to offer this one. It will make a fine addition to any library or rare book collection.

This item measures 8 1/4" long, 5 1/2" wide, 1 3/4" thick.
