This is the greatest hat! It is easily shaped into many different shapes & poses. One can go from the gangster look to the angel look in a few seconds. The hat is marked Empress, Western Germany and is a light beige in color. I believe Germany either constructed the hat, and the material came from the US or vice versa. It is also marked Union Made under the inside band. It is very well made, and has a flattering large bow with a large gold toned buckle on the side. The hat measures 21" around the inside rim, I believe that is medium. That's what I wear and the hat fits me fine. The brim is wider in the front and and sides and narrow in the back. This hat is just adorable, in beautiful condition and one can wear many faces with it.

The inside measures 21 around, it is 5" in height sitting flat, 12" across the brim front to back and 12" across the brim side to side.
