This is a very large Sarreguemines meat platter, the largest I have see for awhile. This piece was made in 1901, by the date mark on the back, it just has a 1. The Sarreguemines mark is from 1900. What is remarkable about this lovely old piece is it has no chips, cracks or repairs. It does have fine age crazing, and it has a very small factory blemish. This stunning pitcher does have a flaw. Hence the price. It is a small hairline or scratch approx. 2 1/2" that goes nowhere, it appears to have started 2" above the base, and it does not go through to the inside, it goes for a couple inches and stops.
