This is a truly amazing hand carved alabaster eagle, by listed Italian artist Mauro Lusini. This monumental sculpture measures 18" x 7" x 6" and weighs nearly 30 pounds! It is beautifully carved with very realistic details, and glass eyes. It is signed by the artist, and also signed Made in Italy. This is an older piece and is in very good condition. It has been carefully examined, and we notice only a slight break to the very end of the tail feather, smoothly polished. This is not immediately noticeable at all, as you will see from the different angles of the photos. This will be a wise decorative arts investment, as well as a show stopping addition to your fine arts collection. This will get noticed!
