Fern-Fine Silver Oxidized Oval Pendant

This pendant was stamped with one of my favorite stamps...the depth of the impression really makes the pattern stand out! It's even more remarkable when oxidized with the reflection of purple and blue hues when turned the right direction. Absolutely heirloom quality. Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver. Precious Metal Clay (PMC)is comprised of fine silver particles that are in a binder which burns away when fired in a kiln leaving only pure silver behind. The clay it forms can be molded, stamped, bent and shaped to form a design. After it dries completely the design is then sand finished and fired. After firing it is then tumbled to polish the piece and either left shiny or oxidized to add a patina that brings out the detail in the low spots and then buffed again to bring shine to the high spots.

This piece has been stamped fine silver and signed and dated.

This is a very substantial piece measuring 1 7/8" wide and just over 1 3/8" from top of bail to the bottom of the pendant.
