Fine Silver Oxidized Oriental Earrings

These versatile earrings are fine silver stamped with an traditional oriental design, fired and oxidized to bring out the detail. They are topped off with a bail silver bead and dangle from sterling silver fish hooks for a total length of 1 1/2".

Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver. Precious Metal Clay is comprised of fine silver particles that are in a binder which burns away when fired in a kiln leaving only pure silver behind. The clay it forms can be molded, stamped, bent and shaped to form a design. After it dries completely the design is then sand finished and fired. After firing it is then tumbled to polish the piece and either left shiny or oxidized to add a patina that brings out the detail in the low spots and then buffed to bring shine to the high spots.

This piece has been stamped with FS for fine silver and signed, Sanna (SD).
