This great cookbook is a facsimile edition of the cookbook originally printed by William Parks of Virginia in 1742. Published by Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1965, this is the 10th printing of this cookbook. There are over 500 recipes included, including "Sally Lunn Muffins" and "Barbecued Squirrel". In addition, four picture plates by "E. Jones" are scattered throughout the book.

Distributed by Holt, Rinehart and Winston, Inc. in New York, this copy is in very good condition, with tight binding and pages free from tears, creases and marks. There is some wear to the lower right corner of the front hard cover. The uncommon "half" printed wrap-around dustjacket does have a few tears; however, this book is in great overall condition. A little gem to add to your collection or to give to your favorite cook.
