This wonderful hand-hooked rug, named "Basket Weave", measures 24" x 36". The pattern was designed by Jane McGown Flynn. "Basket Weave" was hooked by Norma McElhenny and completed in 2005. Part of the finishing process includes a cloth hanger if you prefer to hang the rug on the wall. This rug currently hangs in Norma's Cape Cod studio.

This more primitive-looking rug will look great anywhere you have a little floor space or an empty wall that needs just the right item.

Shipping costs will be determined by your zip code.

About The Artist: Norma McElhenny is a McGown-certified instructor who teaches classes in her home studio in Brewster, Massachusetts. She has earned numerous awards and honors throughout her career.

Besides teaching the mechanics of rug hooking, Norma instructs students on color planning, dyeing wool and finishing rugs. She has given demonstrations and workshops on various topics, such as wool dying and rug finishing, to peers and students. Norma also gives demonstrations to the public to raise awareness and interest in the art of rug hooking.

2007 will be Norma's third year teaching at ATHA (Association of Traditional Hooking Artists) in New Hampshire. In addition, she will be teaching at a week-long rug hooking camp in Vermont this June.
