This terrific hand-hooked rug, named "High Tea", measures 24" x 36". The rug that shows in the frame measures 23" x 35 1/4". With the frame, the overall dimensions are 25 1/4" x 37 3/4". The pattern was designed by Jane McGown Flynn. "High Tea" was hooked by Norma McElhenny and completed in 1994. This rug currently hangs in Norma's Cape Cod studio.

This beautiful rug would look great hung in a kitchen or dining room - anywhere you feel like having a spot of tea.

About The Artist: Norma McElhenny is a McGown-certified instructor who teaches classes in her home studio in Brewster, Massachusetts. She has earned numerous awards and honors throughout her career.

Besides teaching the mechanics of rug hooking, Norma instructs students on color planning, dyeing wool and finishing rugs. She has given demonstrations and workshops on various topics, such as wool dyeing and rug finishing, to peers and students. Norma also gives demonstrations to the public to raise awareness and interest in the art of rug hooking.

2007 will be Norma's third year teaching at ATHA (Association of Traditional Hooking Artists) in New Hampshire. In addition, she will be teaching at a week-long rug hooking camp in Vermont this June.
