This great hand-hooked rug, named "Peace", measures 24 1/2" x 49". The pattern was designed by Beverly Conway. "Peace" was hooked by Norma McElhenny and completed in 2005. Part of the finishing process includes a cloth hanger if you prefer to hang the rug on the wall. This rug currently hangs in Norma's Cape Cod studio.

In these unsettling times, who doesn't need a little peace? Anywhere you display this rug will make both a more peaceful atmosphere and show your patriotic spirit.

Shipping costs will be determined by your zip code.

As always, we welcome your questions!

About The Artist: Norma McElhenny is a McGown-certified instructor who teaches classes in her home studio in Brewster, Massachusetts. She has earned numerous awards and honors throughout her career.

Besides teaching the mechanics of rug hooking, Norma instructs students on color planning, dyeing wool and finishing rugs. She has given demonstrations and workshops on various topics, such as wool dyeing and rug finishing, to peers and students. Norma also gives demonstrations to the public to raise awareness and interest in the art of rug hooking.

2007 will be Norma's third year teaching at ATHA (Association of Traditional Hooking Artists) in New Hampshire. In addition, she will be teaching at a week-long rug hooking camp in Vermont this June.
