60's Vintage Betsy *B* of Florida Box Purse ~ Cardinals

From Betsy B of Florida, this vintage purse is so Virginian! It's the Virginia State Bird that adds beauty to this 1960's box purse. A bright red male cardinal and his less colorful female mate share a Dogwood Tree Branch on the clear vinyl protected top --(The Dogwood is the State of Virginia's flowering tree as well.) Whether intended to represent a State or not, the brilliant red of the bird creates a wonderful contrast to the creamy white wooden base. The vinyl handle and trim are also an off white. The inside is covered in a linen like fabric and offers a mirror on the hinged flip top. A velcro closure remains in excellent working order. The pocket book is in Pristine Condition. It measures 9" X 6 1/4" x 5 3/4."
