This classic black rotary telephone by Western Electric; Bell System is part of the Model 500 Series; 500 DM, and remains in great condition! The hard plastic rotary dial spins easily. A volume control on the bottom adjusts the loudness of the ringer. These phones are an excellent asset not just for vintage decor but because they do not depend on electricity to function--they are always there for you during a power outage and... if your cell phone is dead! The shiny black case has the occasional signs of use but is without cracks, breaks, or disfigurement. The sound quality of these older phones is equal to, or better than, that of modern-day phones. You know..."They don't make them like they used to!" Nice!
