Here's what a gentleman told me about SEAMED nylons? He said; "They are the sexiest kind because the seam draws the eye upward." I don't know about that but the seamed stockings surely have a place in history and can be a fun change--particularly if your love is vintage clothing. These stockings still have the original flat appearance indicating that they have never been worn. No apparent picks and definitely no runs. I don't believe this box is their original package but because they have apparently been kept safe here for a number of years, I decided not to change that now. Each stocking is stamped: "51 Gauge High Twist Rayon Leg. Cotton Welt. Cotton Reinforced Toe." The original price is also stamped here at the top of the leg and is $1.17. These must have been considered VERY NICE at that price! and likely the reason they were never worn. They were probably being saved for a very special occasion. The hose measure 29.5" inches tall from the heel to the top. The feet measure 9.5" from heel to toe.
