I believe this play stove is pre-1950's. The base of this early toy stove is one solid molded piece and then the top--a separate piece, is attached with thick tabs bent into place. Most of the newer tin or aluminum toys were riveted together. The components; burners, oven door handles, etc... are also, molded into the stove. Please see photos. The toy stove is perfect for displaying a miniature set of child's vintage cookware in your kitchen--or to let your child or grandchild work along beside you while you are cooking. The toy has the worn look -- very spotty rusting and the "chippy paint" look-- that is so often strived for these days when refinishing vintage items and decorating in white--PLEASE NOTE: There is no actual peeling paint or paint chips. The little, miniature stove could have been a Salesman sample but it surely has seen some imaginative play! It measures 8" across, 7.5" including the uppermost part of the stove, and 4" deep of surface space.
