The Bobbsey Twins books were in many American homes from their beginning in 1904 at least through the 1960's. This Bobbsey Twins adventure is titled; Treasure Hunting.. The copyright date is 1929. This book enjoys the illustrated cover that was used during that time period. The cover has one tear on the illustration. (It appears someone put a sticker on the cover plate and then removed it.). This appears to be the only damage to this book, The pages are fully intact and somewhat discolored which seems to be normal for pages of high cotton content and books of this age.

The Bobbsey Twins Series was attributed to an author named; Laura Lee Hope, who didn't really exist. The author's name was actually a pseudonym for multiple writers working for the Stratemeyer Syndicate. Stratemeyer produced the Bobbsey Twins Series as well as the Nancy Drew Books, The Hardy Boys, and others. Several of these children's books were authored the same way--for example Carolyn Keene was the name used for the author of the Nancy Drew books but like "Laura Lee Hope," "Carolyn Keen" was actually multiple writers.
