Perfect for someone's Christmas! Christie made her appearance among the friends of Barbie, as the first Black or African American girl. Barbie's new friend has the copyright year 1966 and was made to share her friend Barbie's wardrobe. As advertised on the box, Christie has a twist 'n turn waist and bendable legs. She is dressed in the original, and rather rare, issued yellow swimsuit that originally came with her. Christie herself is in NEW, Excellent condition, and still has the original cello wrap on her head protecting her hair. The box remains in fair condition - missing the very top panel but does still have the cellophane "glass" window to observe the doll.
