This popular Lily of the Valley floral design is on an eggshell colored background, trimmed in green and offers a platinum rim. These Lily of the Valley Salad Plates are part of the Eggshell Nautilus line from Homer Laughlin. There are Four Available in Near MINT condition! The Eggshell was touted as Laughlin's thin (like China) yet durable (like Ironstone) Dinnerware and ...indeed it is! The manufacture of the Eggshell Nautilus began in the late 1930's and continued to the 50's. Three of these salad plates are dated 1948 and one dated 1950 (they are still identical). All remain in great condition with only a few VERY MINOR utensil marks. Each plate measures 8 1/8". NO chips, cracks, or crazing! I will also be listing other pieces in this popular line.
