SALE Decorative Repousse Wall Plate ~ Dutch Waterside Scene

This brass, or brass plated, decorative wall plate portrays a waterside scene in relief that is likely in Holland (the Netherlands.) The quaint village scene is of an older gentleman smoking a pipe and speaking with two younger lads beside of a waterway. In the highly embossed or repousse scene, all three of the gentleman are wearing the Dutch wooden shoes and baggy pants. One of the younger boys is wearing the type of hat seen on the "Dutch Boy Paints" advertisement. A ready to hang picture hanger is original to the back of the plate. There is very minimal, occasional spotting noted on the front and light discoloration on the back of the plate --as well as an area where someone has applied what appears to be a dab of black paint on the back. No dents or bends noted. The wall hanging measures 14" in diameter and remains in very nice condition overall.
