Tasha Tudor is one the the most widely known and respected illustrators of Children's Literature. Her first book was published in 1938 when she was 23 years old. Her works have been printed and reprinted many times over. This book published by Lippincott in 1965 is a FIRST EDITION. A lovely collection of Tasha Tudor's favorite stories for children, which are also well known works of children's literature, that of course she has beautifully illustrated in full colorful pages. The authors of her chosen stories include: Rudyard Kippling, Samuel Clemens, The Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson, and others. Included stories are: The Ugly Duckling, The Cat that Walked By Himself, The Glorious Whitewasher, The Little Dressmaker, Wicked John & The Devil and many more. This book is cloth bound and hard cover. There is very light soiling around the outer edge of the cover and a few scuff marks towards the bottom of the front cover (see photo). Otherwise it appears to be in EXCELLENT Condition without any internal marks, no page discoloration, no dog ears, creases, or any other fault that I can find! The book is clearly marked by Lippincott as a First Edition.
