The cover of this early issue of Coronet is a reproduction of a painting by Thomas Sulley; titled.."The Torn Hat." This publication offers a beautiful inclusion of artistic Black & White Photography from all over the world. The theme of most of the photographs in this issue were appropriately summer related. Also included is a group of photographs, titled "East Side, West Side A New York Portfolio," that tell of the inner city struggles. A portfolio of engravings and drawings and lithographs, political articles, short stories, poetry, and articles about: Living through the poor economy of the day (much like today's struggling economy), How to manage your time?...still time appropriate!, Medical Insights of the time and so much more make up this 177 page issue! The magazine format is very similar to that of Reader's Digest. It is in clean, Excellent Condition, with all pages intact!

**A BRIEF HISTORY OF CORONET: Published monthly from 1937 until 1971, this upscale magazine had a very similar layout to the Reader's Digest that was founded in 1922. The magazine is very similar in size. The Coronet Magazine leaned more towards an audience that enjoyed the Arts. Most, if not all, of the issues offered a "Gallery of Art & Photographs" that were from around the world and also offered human interest stories about the lives of different artists. The publication also included Short Stories, Poetry, Political and Economic Writings, bits of History, Medical Advice...well just about something for every adult or young adult reader.
