Published in 1922, this book was apparently part of a series for; "The Woman's Library" , published by Social Culture Publications. The 62 page paperback deals with many aspects of the woman's attire. Part of the primary theme of the book relates to the colors which look best on certain skin tones and those who are Brunette and those who are Blonde . ( I remember a similar book that was all the rage in the 1980's. Who knew that one had already been done?) This little book covers which colors "harmonize" and those that don't. It discusses different designs of dress--the slender figure and the stout. Many of the ideas covered in the book would still be viable today while others are more typical thoughts for that time period. The author states: "Good taste in dress is only another name for a woman's observance of the practical laws of color and line as applied to her individual self." The book is in very good condition. A small tear at the top of the index page is the only area noted with any damage or wear. Interesting insight!
