Published in 1909, this Reader by Georgia Alexander is a 162 page Antique collection of Poetry, Nursery Rhymes, Short Stories & Fables. Some very familiar names: The Three Bears, The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg, Little -Bo Peep, The Song of the Thrush, Sinbad The Sailor, Robinson Crusoe, Japanese Lullaby, The Lost Doll, Peachling, and so many more too numerous to name! Lovely illustrations to enhance the imagination are included throughout the book by artists; Alice Barber Stephens, Sarah Weber, & Sarah K. Smith. These Classic Works of Literature include writings by; Robert Louis Stevenson, Aesops Fables, Hans Christian Anderson, George MacDonald, Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes, Folk Tales from different countries, and many others. The book is a fabric covered hardback in good condition. The wine colored cover has some spotting and discoloration as shown in the photo. The pages are slightly darkened or yellowed from age as normal. No markings are noted. The pages overall appear clean with one small brown stain affecting a few pages at the beginning of the book. The binding remains tight without loose pages. No rips or tears found. The book is an easy to handle size of 7 3/4" by 5 3/4".
