Delicate and feminine, this container is handmade of two shells with the Mother of Pearl luster. The hinged lid is also made from shell and set in a silver band with a hand wrought closure that snaps shut. This makes a beautiful pill box, though just as likely made for snuff, the Shell "Box" measures approx. 3 1/2" across, 2 1/4" tall, and 1"deep. Excellent Condition!

A flame of orange flowers accented by a lovely Monarch butterfly are the highlight of this stitched piece. With the stitching complete, I would have to wonder why this lovely garden of flowers was never framed or made into an accent pillow as is often done. The needlework and surrounding fabric all appear to be in perfect condition and ready for the finishing touches! The entire piece measures 18" x 15" and will fit a 16" x 12" size frame opening.

This little wooden cigarette box is very lightly marked Occupied Japan on the bottom. I believe the original use of this box was as a cigarette box as the wood is light weight and soft. There is an inner liner, also wooden, that is not removable. The box measures 4 1/2" by 3 1/2" and it is 2" tall. The hinges are intact. The Witch Pick and the Scarecrow do show minor wear to the black features, though not bad. The larger Jack O Lantern does not appear to have any loss of color or features at all.
