This is a really neat catalog produced by Abbott Laboratories in 1953. It features articles on what is new in medicine at that time. This is a large paperback catalog, measuring 10 x 12 1/2 inches. The graphics are exquisitely 1950's, with the focus on Christmas. The articles range from Viral Hepatitis as an Occupational Illness, to the history of the Medical Division of the Armed Forces Library. There is a short piece on the life span of the human leukocyte, There is a discussion of a Testosterone Testing for the Male Climateric, which certain surprised me. The title page states that the Lithographs were done in the USA, and the catalog was published in Chicago Ill. This is a wonderful representation of what was considered Modern Medicine nearly 60 years ago.
