Large Red and Green Lantern Silver Charm

$30 USDLarge Red and Green Lantern Silver Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This is one of those really big English charms from the 70's. It has four cabachon stones. It is one inch tall, and weighs just under 5 grams. This is a big 3-D charm, with open work. The quality is very nice.
Large Standard Poodle Sterling Silver Charm

$28 USDLarge Standard Poodle Sterling Silver Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This is a very large charm, weighing 12.1 grams of sterling silver. The figure is of a Standard Poodle with classic poodle cut. It is stamped with British hallmarks. They include the anchor for Birmingham, the Royal Lion for sterling, and the date stamp for 1977. The maker's mark is AJH. If you are a big fan of sterling silver charms, you may well appreciate that the mid-70's was a wonderful time. The charms were big, and very detailed.
Scenic China Bowl

$24 USDScenic China Bowl

Collectibles:Decorative
This serving bowl is made of china, and measures 10 inches across. It is painted pink around the border, and has a Scenic view of a Country Church in the middle. It seems to me that the scene is a stencil or decal, but there are hand painted highlights. It is a winter scene, with a low sun near the horizon. There is no maker's mark. It is free of chips or cracks.
St Ann Rosary Made in Japan

$8 USDSt Ann Rosary Made in Japan

Collectibles:Religious
This is an old finger rosary, with 3 'decades' of 5 beads each. The medallion is marked 'Japan' and has the prayer, "St Ann Pray for Us." The beads are a lovely blue glass.
Sterling Silver Curb Link Bracelet

$35 USDSterling Silver Curb Link Bracelet

Jewelry:Vintage:Silver, Sterling
This bracelet could be used as a charm bracelet, or it could be worn just as is. It is 6/5 inches long, and has a safety chain that you can unhook. The sterling mark is shown in the photos. The links have a nice texture to them.
Marvelous Amber Crystal Silver Watch Fob Charm

$55 USDMarvelous Amber Crystal Silver Watch Fob Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This beautiful piece came from an English Charm bracelet. It is marked "SIL" for silver content greater than 80%. The stone is a large amber faceted crystal that spins. The fluid lines suggest an earlier era than the bracelet. The frame has a fluid curve to the lines. It's a remarkable piece that could be a stand alone pendant, or a centerpiece for big bracelet. It measures a full 1 inch wide. There is a photograph of a charm like this one on page 109 of Joanne Schwartz's book, Charms and Charm ...
Moveable Enamel Charm: Dutch Boy and Girl Weather House Charm

$45 USDMoveable Enamel Charm: Dutch Boy and Girl Weather House Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
As long as I have loved charms, I have not seen this one before. You may see a picture of it on page 133 of Joanna Schwartz's book about Charms and Charm bracelets. As a travel souvenir charm, this one is striking. The Dutch Boy and Dutch Girl are enameled. This is a moveable charm: they swivel in and out of the house. The detailing on the charm is quite nice. This is a model of the Weather House, in which one comes out if it will rain, and one comes out if it is fair skies. This is a little ...
Old Flow Blue Ladle

$110 USDOld Flow Blue Ladle

Antiques
This old ladle is big enough for a punch bowl. It is 12/5 inches long. It is heavy ironstone earthenware witha flow blue pattern. The inside of the ladle bowl also has some reddish-orange and green glaze highlights. The only mark is an old script "F" on the bottom of the bowl. The age is apparent in a few stained craze marks on the curve of the handle. I don't have the name of the pattern. There are gilt highlights on the handle as well.
Vintage Blue Rhinestone Bracelet

$35 USDVintage Blue Rhinestone Bracelet

Jewelry:Vintage:Bracelets
This is a lovely flexible blue rhinestone bracelet. The stones are three different kinds, all prong set. The center row are cabachons, alternating between round and rectangular. The middle rows are small round faceted blue crystals. The outer rows are round cabachon in the same blue as the center. I am offering this as found, as the clasp is not original. If you have the findings, restoring this would be a simple matter. It measures 7 inches long

Blue Enamel Medal: Mary and the Sacred Heart

$20 USDBlue Enamel Medal: Mary and the Sacred Heart

Collectibles:Religious
This tiny blue enamel medallion would have been a memento of a religious pilgrimidge to one of the great shrines in Europe. It would have been added to one's rosary on the occasion of a visit to the Lourdes. The background metal is silver, and the images are of the Virgin Mother Mary, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is a petite 3/8 inch tall.
Wells Sterling St Vincent Academy Ring Charm

$24 USDWells Sterling St Vincent Academy Ring Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
What a neat charm. It is marked Wells Sterling, and represents a School ring. It has the logo for St Vincent's Academy. Most likely, this refers to the all girl's school in Savannah Georgia. The only other Well's Sterling charm that I have found was for the Naval Academy at Annapolis. One would think it would have to be a prominent school to have charms made by Wells. The ring is marked sterling, as you can see in the photos. It has a citron colored stone set.
Sterling Silver Moveable Wringer Washer Charm

$24 USDSterling Silver Moveable Wringer Washer Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This vintage charm is marked sterling silver. It moves; the handle rotates. This is, of course, the old hand wringer for laundry. The charm is 3/4" tall. I date this to the 40's or 50's based on the delicacy of the workmanship.

Jewelry:Vintage:Silver, Sterling
This is a sterling silver swordfish, made to be worn either as a lapel pin, or from a chain as a pendant. The mark is 925 Mexico TM-38. The mark identifies it as a registered jeweler in Taxco. The rest of the mark indicates this was the 38th jeweler to register with the letter M in the assay office of Taxco. This system began in 1979. This pin is an impressive 2 3/8 inches from tip to tail. It is hollow hand crafted. It was absolutely black when I got it. I gave it a gently buff with a jeweler's ...

Vintage Rhinestone Amber Pin

$24 USDVintage Rhinestone Amber Pin

Jewelry:Vintage:Pins/Brooches
This is an old rhinestone pin, circular in shape. It consists of cabachon amber stones, prong set in a circle. There are round faceted stones both inside and outside the circle of cabachons. These stones, also prong set, are AB in lighter shades of amber or gold. The setting is a mellow gold tone which has developed a soft patina. I have not done anything to this pin. It is 2 inches in diameter. The C clasp is secure and intact.

Vintage Amber Crystals and Rondelle Earrings

$20 USDVintage Amber Crystals and Rondelle Earrings

Artisan Jewelry:Earrings
I made these earrings from crystal faceted stones salvaged from an old string. I would estimate the age on the crystals to the 1950's. The color is a light golden amber, which is very pleasing. The large stone is 10 mm in diameter, which makes them a good size. The smaller stone, which is the same color, is 5 mm in diameter. The crystal rondelle is new, as are the gold tone French Ear wires. I like this mounting because you are less likely to lose an earring. This is made for pierced ears. Use ...
