Vintage Moveable Silver Charm: Vegetable Barrow

$24 USDVintage Moveable Silver Charm: Vegetable Barrow

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This old silver charm is solid cast with a front wheel that moves. It represents a vegetable barrow. You can see the produce in the wheelbarrow in the close ups. This came from an English charm bracelet. The metal content is not marked, which was common from Mid Century charm makers. It is a large charm, measuring 3/4" long.
Sterling Silver Moveable Wringer Washer Charm

$24 USDSterling Silver Moveable Wringer Washer Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This vintage charm is marked sterling silver. It moves; the handle rotates. This is, of course, the old hand wringer for laundry. The charm is 3/4" tall. I date this to the 40's or 50's based on the delicacy of the workmanship.
Large Red and Green Lantern Silver Charm

$30 USDLarge Red and Green Lantern Silver Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This is one of those really big English charms from the 70's. It has four cabachon stones. It is one inch tall, and weighs just under 5 grams. This is a big 3-D charm, with open work. The quality is very nice.
Large Standard Poodle Sterling Silver Charm

$28 USDLarge Standard Poodle Sterling Silver Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This is a very large charm, weighing 12.1 grams of sterling silver. The figure is of a Standard Poodle with classic poodle cut. It is stamped with British hallmarks. They include the anchor for Birmingham, the Royal Lion for sterling, and the date stamp for 1977. The maker's mark is AJH. If you are a big fan of sterling silver charms, you may well appreciate that the mid-70's was a wonderful time. The charms were big, and very detailed.
Wells Sterling St Vincent Academy Ring Charm

$24 USDWells Sterling St Vincent Academy Ring Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
What a neat charm. It is marked Wells Sterling, and represents a School ring. It has the logo for St Vincent's Academy. Most likely, this refers to the all girl's school in Savannah Georgia. The only other Well's Sterling charm that I have found was for the Naval Academy at Annapolis. One would think it would have to be a prominent school to have charms made by Wells. The ring is marked sterling, as you can see in the photos. It has a citron colored stone set.
Marvelous Amber Crystal Silver Watch Fob Charm

$55 USDMarvelous Amber Crystal Silver Watch Fob Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This beautiful piece came from an English Charm bracelet. It is marked "SIL" for silver content greater than 80%. The stone is a large amber faceted crystal that spins. The fluid lines suggest an earlier era than the bracelet. The frame has a fluid curve to the lines. It's a remarkable piece that could be a stand alone pendant, or a centerpiece for big bracelet. It measures a full 1 inch wide. There is a photograph of a charm like this one on page 109 of Joanne Schwartz's book, Charms and Charm ...
Moveable Enamel Charm: Dutch Boy and Girl Weather House Charm

$45 USDMoveable Enamel Charm: Dutch Boy and Girl Weather House Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
As long as I have loved charms, I have not seen this one before. You may see a picture of it on page 133 of Joanna Schwartz's book about Charms and Charm bracelets. As a travel souvenir charm, this one is striking. The Dutch Boy and Dutch Girl are enameled. This is a moveable charm: they swivel in and out of the house. The detailing on the charm is quite nice. This is a model of the Weather House, in which one comes out if it will rain, and one comes out if it is fair skies. This is a little ...
Sterling Enamel Puffy Heart Charm

$95 USDSterling Enamel Puffy Heart Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This is a beautifully romantic charm, from the era of Friendship hearts, which was in the 1940's. This charm would have been given as a gift to a young lady, who collected them and wore them on a charm bracelet. This one was never engraved, although it was worn for many years on a bracelet. The sterling mark is on the back. The front has a relief pattern of two hearts entwined with a wishbone. The light blue enamel is intact! The charm comes to you with the loop as found. You won't find many as ...
Vintage Sterling Silver Figural Crab Charm

$20 USDVintage Sterling Silver Figural Crab Charm

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This is a charm that dates to the 60's or possibly the 70's. It is a large very detailed figural crab charm. It was most likely collected to represent the astrological sign for Cancer, the Crab, the Water Sign. (That's my sign.) There is a deeply impressed sterling mark on the back of the crab. It measures 7/8 inch from leg to leg, making it a rather large charm. I have left the tarnish as is; a quick buff with a polishing cloth will clean this charm up nicely for you.
Vintage Silver Charm Bracelet with 16 Travel Souvenir Charms

$145 USDVintage Silver Charm Bracelet with 16 Travel Souvenir Charms

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This is a charm bracelet full of travel souvenir charms. This was a popular collectible for young ladies making Eurpean tours as they came of age in the 50's and later. This one starts with a single link chain of solid metal (not plated.) The safety chain is intact and welded in place. The latch is the padlock charm. It is marked "Silver" with a British maker's mark. As was typical, the charms vary from no content mark, to 'silver' to sterling marks. The bull has British hallmarks including the ...
SOLD Large Sterling Beer Stein Charm, Marked "Bier", Lid Opens

SOLDSOLD Large Sterling Beer Stein Charm, Marked "Bier", Lid Opens

Jewelry:Vintage:Charms
This is a larger than average, sterling silver charm shaped like a beer stein. The lid opens, and you can see from the photos. It has a pronounced relief image of men sitting at a table, drinking beer. The word "Bier" is down the front of the stein. The sterling mark in on the bottom. This charm is nearly 1 inch tall. I have not cleaned or polished it.
