Macey Roll Top Desk

$3,250 USDMacey Roll Top Desk

Antiques:Furniture
This roll top desk was made by the Macey Co. Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Fred Macey Co. is known for the quality office furniture they manufactured at the turn of the century. This desk is in original finish; it has a deep colored patina with a gloss look. As original finish goes this is nice, the most notable distress would be on the very top of the roll case, there are water marks and slight scratches, such is the case of untouched finishes. A good old finish look in my estimation. The desk is ...

The drawer faces are book matched flame or crotch grained walnut. The door centers also show a nice detailed grain pattern. The contemporary design of the piece is the thing I find must interesting.
