a handsome, brown-eyed young gentleman, seated to the right of a blue drape, his wavy brown hair combed forward, and wearing a fitted, military style jacket with high red collar and braided epaulettes. English School ca. 1810. A watercolour on ivory with a sky background set in an ornate period gilded wooden frame 8 1/8" (w) by 9 1/8" (h), The miniature is 3 1/2" (w) x 4 3/8" (h).
