A Brown-eyed lady, American School, ca 1840. She in a black dress adorned with white lace shawl collar and wearing a white lace indoor cap trimmed with pale pink ribbons. A watercolour on ivory set in a gilt metal frame with a chased bezel and hanger. 2 1/8" (w) x 2 1/2" (h).

A Tousled Haired American Gentleman, ca 1810. He wearing a black coat, white stock and cravat. A watercolour on ivory in an oval gold pendent frame. 1 5/8" (w) x 2" (h). On the reverse is an elaborate hairworks memorial to TBW lovingly rendered with two hearts pierced/joined by an single arrow atop a monument watched over by the all-seeing eye within a triangle - a Christian?/Masonic? symbol.
