This very unusual and rare circa 1800 English dressing/writing stand is made from fine solid mahogany. It measures 48" T x 27" W x 6" D (when closed). The stand has firescreen form with quartered and oval banded panel on drop front with deep fitted interior; tooled leather work surface; tilt out mirror back; open base with molded lyres as well as finely carved florals and shells; high arched saber legs; missing key to lock.
