This lovely Dresden mesh bag has a deco style frame, watercolor like soldered mesh for the body, and a pale green shattered silk lining. According to Pina's book, soldered ring mesh was the most expensive to produce, as each link was soldered. Indeed not a single link of this purse has come undone. Pina also mentions that the condition of the lining, or lack thereof, does not diminish the value of the purse. The fringe is perfect. 6" by 5" I cannot find any marking but Soldered Mesh. I assume this purse was produced just after Whiting and Davis bought the Dresden Mesh Company. Aside from the lining and a few scratches on the plain pyramidal clasp, it's in excellent vintage condition. Perfect for a wedding or a debut. The clasp is bright gold tone, not dark as in the photo.
