Antique Biscuit Jar ~ Beautiful Roses

This is a lovely antique white porcelain biscuit jar painted with beautiful roses in shades of pink and white with accented areas of deep green and deep rose. Gold accents of flowers that look like pansies and embossed / molded scroll details. The rim of the jar is scalloped, and it stands on a scalloped pedestal base. There are smaller matching roses around the sides and so much attention to detail, making this a beautiful antique piece. This piece is in excellent condition for it's age, with only one tiny chip on edge of lid but no cracks or crazing; only slight wear on the gold. The rounded dome lid has a beautifully shaped handle that has a twist design; piece has a fine glaze inside and out. Measurements: Jar itself is 5/3/4" tall from outside lip to bottom of pedestal base; Overall height is 7", including lid/handle; Opening is 4-1/4" diameter; outside diameter is 5-3/8 on scalloped lip and width at shoulders of jar is 5-3/4. Bottom of jar is marked "43" in green with no markings as to maker. This piece displays beautifully! See all my photos to appreciate it!
