Here is a beautiful scalloped edge, pierced handle cake plate made in Germany in white porcelain with a black rimmed border. A lovely handpainted floral design in shades of yellow, burnt orange, green and black adorn this pretty plate, with tab-style handles created by cut outs with a graceful curve. In excellent condition with one tiny edge nick in its black border (easily covered with a black marker if desired) and a soft glaze. The back is marked "Germany" and the name "L. Schmidt", most likely the artist, is there as well. Measures 10" diameter with slightly raised areas where scallops indent. A pretty piece indeed with an unusual artsy design.
