These lovely old wire rimmed glasses and case date back to the 1930-40's, and are marked 1/10th 12 Karat Gold Filled. They have an very small but intricate design on the nose bar as well as the ear wires. They have uniquely shaped lens and are in excellent condition with no visible damage and minor wear. The nose pads appear to be made of celluloid. The frames measures approximately 4-1/2" wide; glass lenses are 1-1/2" in diameter. These old spectacles come with their original snap closure case which is made of embossed vinyl covered and stiffened cardboard, lined in a felt like material. When I found these at an estate sale, there was a cleaning cloth marked, "Professional Optical Service, 1511 Scott Avenue, Charlotte, NC" pushed down inside the case as well. This is a GREAT pair of vintage wire rim eyeglasses!
