Take a look at the cover on this vintage game box ! Is that a great graphic or what ?? So colorful and fun! This is "PUNCH LINE - The Word Game That Makes You Laugh!" by Parker Brothers and is dated 1978 on the front cover. As seen in my photos, the game equipment and instructions are still here. This includes 4 trays and letter strips for each player, and cards with 224 different sentences, each one missing a key word. The object of the game is to fill in missing word (the Punch Line). The only thing that's missing from the box is a 30-second timer the instructions call for. From the description of game rules, it sounds like this timer must have been a sand / salt in a bottle type, because it says to "turn over the timer". If you want to play this game, you could easily use an egg timer with no problem. This word game is for 2 to 4 players, ages 10 to adult. The box is in excellent condition with no tears or writing on the lid. Measures 10-inches long by 7-1/4 inches wide, and 3-inches deep. Slight wear on the bottom surface of the other box, but it's still great looking. Makes such a super display piece! Great family game too!
