This one is a beauty. It is French, so naturally, its bow is a little more ornate than the English version would be. The picture opening of this one measures 3 and 3/4 inches long, and 2 and 1/4 inches wide. The frame itself, including the bow, measures 5 and 1/2 inches long, and 3 inches wide. It has a ring so that it can be hung on the wall, but it also has its original wood easel and backing. The little pin at the top of the back is missing (it helps hold the backing in place), but another could easily be added, or , as the piece is secure at the bottom, it is fine the way it is. This piece is circa 1890.
