Pink Topaz and Pearl Ring, Georgian

This is a wonderful ring, that frankly, I really want to keep and had decided to do so, because the Topaz is my birthstone, and while I have a Russian one, I prefer the pink ones as I wear more than it would match. I need a few items to add, though, to be featured, so have reluctantly decided to add this one. it is circa 1800, 18 ct, with a split shank. I suspect that the top may have been , long ago, a lace pin because the initials, "T R" are engraved inside and there's a little indentation where there may have been a clasp. I'm not sure, though, and if this was done, it was done over 100years ago, as the shank is a period one. The pink topaz is foiled and closed backed, and has a natural pearl surround. The decorated top of the ring measures 1/2 inch East to West, and about the same, North to South. The ring is a size 7 and 3/4, but it could be sized by someone used to working with antique jewelry. I love this ring, and while I have more rings than I can wear, I won't leave this one on long, because I love it.
