This is a beautiful double band of mine cut diamonds, closed backed and foiled, The shank of the ring is yellow gold , but the diamonds are set in silver, as they always were at this time. This is quite a substantial ring, with diamonds curving over half my rather small finger. The ring is a size 7 and 3/4, but could be sized by a jeweler used to working with antique jewelry and rose cut diamonds. This ring has a lot of sparkle, and the band of diamonds measures 1/4 of an inch wide. The ring contains 24 diamonds, if I did not miscount these sparkling gems, set closely together. This ring is circa 1780.
