This is the third piece of wheat sheaf jewelry, made from human hair, I've seen.It was a Georgian theme, and I've read several possible meanings for the hair sheaf; one is that it is a fertility symbol, and might have been given to a bride from her husband's family, etc. It makes sense that a wheat sheaf would be a symbol of fertility, and I have also read that it is a sign of abundance, but when there is a piece falling off, it is a symbol for loss and mourning.
