Arthur Concello was one of the greatest trapeze artists of the 20th century. He died in Florida in 2001 at 89. He had become one of the most important and forceful circus managers in the business. Based on his fast-talking personality, Charlton Heston played his character in Cecil B. de Mille’s film “The Greatest Show on Earth.” Concello and his wife Antionette were one of the main attractions of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.
