Lovely Shell Cameo Necklace - Lady with Mysterious Smile

This is a very nice shell cameo with beautiful carving - very detailed. The lady has a lovely bouffant hair-do with a pouffy bow on one side. Her gown is draped across her shoulders and embellished with a flower. I love all of that but find the most charming thing about her is her mysterious smile. Cameo with bale measures about 1 5/8" and the chain is about 17 1/4" long. The chain is very beautiful and marked Simmons (a company long in business and very well know for exceptional chains). I tested the gold of the cameo but it did not test so it is either gold plated or 9K. I can't be sure which. This piece is in excellent condition and I am sure you will be very pleased with it and the lady.
