Unusual Expansion Bracelet - Open Work Heart Center Sterling Base

This is one of those pretty sweetheart expansion bracelets that have been popular since late Victorian times. The one has a very pretty open work center. Amidst swirls and tiny flowers is a heart. It is ready to be engraved with your name or initials. These were originally given by a gentleman to his sweetheart. This one is made on a sterling silver base with a gold vermeil. I have looked at it in all kinds of light. There may be some very minor wear to the finish or a bit of polish might just take care of it. I don't like to touch vintage jewelry but prefer to leave the old patina. It is in excellent condition with the links nice and tight - no sign of wear that way. Bracelet will stretch to fit an average sized wrist - a little over 7" around. The front measures 1" top to bottom and every other link has an embossed design. It's high quality. Bracelet was made by Brown Gold Co. You will not be disappointed with this one.
