Spectacular Panetta Necklace Hints of Egyptian Revival - Green Stones, Pave Set RS

This necklace is new old stock. It came from the estate of a woman who had a chi-chi boutique in NYC in the 1970's and '80's. She sold only very high end costume jewelry. Among her clientele were movie stars and wealthy women who did not want to wear their real diamonds to an event. This fabulous necklace hints of Egyptian Revival. The centerpiece has a fluid shape which reminds me of that type of jewelry. There is a green glass stone in the center which is embellished with pave set rhinestones. The chain is magnificent with more green stones complemented by pave set rhinestones on each side. The clasp is set with rhinestones and there is a safety clasp. Metal is very elegant goldtone and it is signed Panetta. Everything about this necklace is superb. It is a substantial piece of jewelry of the highest quality. It measures about 15" and is in excellent, unworn condition. I have also listed a pair of earrings which match this necklace in color. The shape of the green stones is a little different.
