Fabulous Forties Fur - Mouton - Size Medium

This is a fabulous fur cape which I believe is from the 1940's. It is a lovely golden brown and the fur is very soft. My pictures do not do it justice. I tried to photograph it in different light but the flash on the camera distorted the color. I was told it is mouton. Note the wonderful wide collar which ends at the bottom edge of the cape. It forms two pockets. Cape is lined with a satin-like material and fur is in excellent condition. It is not as supple as some furs are but I have never had one of these before so I am not sure if it is meant to be that way or if it is just age. It measures about 23" from the top of the collar to the bottom hem at the center back. This cape will fit a size medium - probably from a 10 - 14. There is one hook and eye closure. This cape is in excellent condition.
