Delightful Cypress Knee Lamp - Lighthouse - Folk Art

Occasionally I come across a cypress knee lamp but never have I had one quite like this. It is simply delightful! The base is a cypress knee. Steps have been carved on one side and a metal handrail attached. On either side of the steps at the top is a walnut shell. There is a wooden rail across the front and two little chairs to one side. Each chair has a small hole in the center. The lighthouse rises up tall and straight. The lamp works but has an old cord and plug. It measures about 13 1/2" across the base and 10 1/4" to the top of the lighthouse. I will also include the lampshade if you want it but am not sure if it will make the journey safely. This was made 50 or 60 years ago when they were harvesting the cypress knees. Now it is against the law to do so. Lamp is in excellent condition. You will enjoy this charming bit of the past.
