Incredible Bogoff Rhinestone Necklace, Earrings

This is very elegant. The center part of the necklace is set with baguettes, giving it a deco look. Each baguette ends with a small chaton. The chain has the rhinestone chatons. Necklace measures about 16" long and you could add an extender if you wish for more length. The center drop is 2 1/2" long and almost 3/4" wide. Earrings are the old style screw backs and are about 5/8" long. The rhinestones are bright and sparkling. Necklace is rhodium plated. I am not sure about the earrings. Only the necklace is signed. They came to me as a set but I am not 100% sure that they came together originally. Some of the baguettes have a bit of wear - they are not as bright as they were when the necklace was made. You really do not see this when you look at the necklace - what you see is the sum total of the lovely design and not individual stones. My price reflects this. Bogoff was in business for a very short time from 1946 - 1959 and made high quality jewelry. The dates are courtesy of Researching Costume Jewelry.
