A Dated 1670 three and three quarter inches by six and three quarter inches engraving marked Revellat. 25, Quai D. Grands - Augustins - Paris - Signed in the lower right by the artist, it is mounted on linen, matted with a brown mat and framed in a light wood contemporary (mid century) frame that measures approximately eight by ten. Of note: a bit of staining in the sky area, archival framing is highly recommended.
Gabriel Perelle (1604 -1677) a French designer and engraver was a student of Daniel Rabel. Perelle created a large number of etchings of landscapes and views and was later commissioned by the King of France to draw maps and military plans.
