This German Scene of falls, figures, trees and mountains is from what is described as Payne's Universum or Pictorial World being a collection of Engravings of Views in All Countries, Portraits of Great Men, and Specimens of Works of Art, of All Ages and of Every Character, it was edited by Charles Edwards and published by Joseph Rickerby in1847.
The exposed plate measures approximately four and one half by eight and one half inches with the overall framed piece measuring eight and one half by twelve and one half inches. Some very light scattered foxing, but overall in good to very good antique condition.
