Being offered is a 1896 Chromolithograph by Julius Bien (American, b. Germany, 1826 - 1909). It is an illuminated page of a Persian Manuscript the poem Muhr Oua Muschtary (The Love Affairs of Jupiter and the Sun) from the 17th Century. Number 443 of 1000 copies, the image measures approximately four inches by six and one quarter inches and is excellent. It is marked Julius Bien & Co. Litho. N.Y. just under the text.
