Being offered is a circa 1880's framed plate of Albrecht Dürer's (German, 1471–1528) Woodcut from the Engraved Passion, Bearing of the Cross. Framed in a handsome arts and crafts oak frame it measures three inches by four and one half inches and ten inches by twelve inches overall. It depicts Christ wearing the Crown of thorns while making his way through the mocking crowds while bearing the cross as Mary offers him a cloth. There is no foxing present the overall condition is excellent. Perfect for the collector.
